“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
-Ecclesiastes 3:1
Hurry is probably the greatest happiness killer in our day. We want it now. That’s the weirdest thing about God–his timing. God’s timing is annoying. God is an eleventh hour God: he never does things on time and he’s always behind schedule, but somehow he always delivers when we need it most. Faith is about endurance. You’re always in a season. Nothing you’re go in right now is permanent–except God’s love. It’s not about just having faith in the moment; it’s that when things get hard, you still will have hope. You have no idea how an answer is going to come through, but you can trust your God because he’s powerful. His name breaks chains. He’s bigger than cancer, he’s bigger than loss, he’s bigger than death, he’s bigger than any of the things you face. He loves you, wants the best for you, and you can trust that. Don’t throw away your tomorrow–or your miracle–because of impatience.
PRAYER: Thank you Lord, for your annoyingingly perfect timing. You always deliver. Help me to know that even when I can’t see it.
REFLECTION: Are you impatient? Do you hate waiting on God? Try to put your trust in him while you’re waiting.
