Pastor Bobby continues the message series called: “Our Deepest Need: Connecting Deeply with Others.” In this four-week series, Bobby will talk about the deepest human need which is to connect and bond with others. Today’s message: “Be Generous – Find a Need and Fill It.”
We are proud to welcome Natalya Roa as our guest this morning. She is the newest member of the Shepherd’s Grove family, serving as a worship leader for our Modern services. Natalya’s exceptional talent has been honed in service to many wonderful church programs, and we are so blessed to have her gifts with us! Today, Natalya sings “What a Beautiful Name” (comp: B. Fielding; B. Ligertwood; adapt: M. Riley). She is accompanied by Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra, as well as Sarah Grandpre and the Hour of Power Choir.
Maiya Sykes is a soloist from Southern California. She attended Yale with a triple major in political science, African American studies and music competition. After graduating, she became a background singer and toured with Macy Gray for six years. In 2014, Maiya was a contestant on “The Voice.” Today, Maiya sings “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” (comp: C. Converse; J. Scriven). She is accompanied by Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.
Directed by Sarah Grandpre, the Hour of Power Choir performs “Servants of Grace” (comp: Earlene Rentz). The choir is accompanied by Susan Caudill on the organ and Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.
