Today, the Hour of Power welcomes back Tony Campolo. Tony is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Eastern University, a former faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, and the founder and president of the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education. He is the author of more than 35 books. Tony is one of the founders of the Red Letter Christian movement and blogs regularly at his website redletterchristians.org. Today, Tony brings the message, “Becoming What God Wants Us to Be.”

The Shepherd’s Grove Men’s Ensemble is a group of seven men from the Hour of Power Choir. Today they perform “Low Down the Chariot” (comp: Russ Taff; Bill Gaither) a cappella, and “Heavens Joy Awaits” (comp: V.B. Ellis) accompanied by Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.

Directed by Dr. Irene Messoloras, the Hour of Power Choir, along with soloist Kelly Cruz, performs “Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)” (comp: John Newton; Chris Tomlin; Louie Giglio) and “Give Thanks and Glorify His Name” (comp: Lloyd Larson). The choir is accompanied by Zeljko Marasovich on the piano, and Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.

  1. Thoroughly enjoyed Tony Campolo. Hadn’t seen him in decades, but I believe that he was a guest on the now-defunct WCFC TV-38, where the host of the flagship program was Jerry Rose (or his predecessor, Owen Carr), and where I was employed dfor several years. I love Campolo’s message, his wit, his passion and his compassion. Glad to see that he is yet doing a powerful work for the Lord.
