Eternity is Now in Session by Guest Preacher John Ortberg

John Ortberg is an author, speaker, and the senior pastor of Menlo Church in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, John graduated from Wheaton College and holds a Master of Divinity and a PhD in clinical psychology from Fuller Seminary. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at Fuller Seminary, serves on the board for the Dallas Willard Center for Spiritual Formation, and is a former board member of Christianity Today International. John and his wife Nancy live in the Bay Area and have three grown children.

John’s books include, I’d Like You More If You Were More Like Me, All the Places To Go; Soul Keeping; Who Is This Man?; The Life You’ve Always Wanted; Faith and Doubt; and more. His latest book is entitled: Eternity is Now in Session, and is available wherever books are sold. The DaCapo Players are a group of classical professional musicians located in Orange County, California. The group has a CD available entitled Breathe the Celtic Aire, available at Group members playing this morning are: Gerardo Hilera, violin; Kathleen Mangusing, violin; Sorah Myung, viola; Steve Velez, cello/director; Taylor Abbitt, bass. Anthony Evans is a talented singer, songwriter and worship leader. He recently released a new single and his book, Unexpected Places, will be released in August, 2018. Today, Anthony performs, “See You Again” (comp: Michael Neale; Krissy Nordhoff). He is joined by backup singers: Dorian Holley, Charlean Carmon, and Darryl Phinnessee, along with Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.

Directed by Dr. Irene Messoloras, the Hour of Power Choir, along with soloists Samuel Capella and Patrick Blackwell, performs “Daniel, Daniel, Servant of the Lord” (arr: Undine S. Moore).
