Soloist Sal Malaki is a world-renowned operatic tenor. He is a member of the Los Angeles Opera, the LA Master Chorale and the Hour of Power Choir. Born in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte, Philippines, Sal graduated from the University of the Philippines with two majors: Bachelors Degree in Voice and a Teacher’s Diploma in Flute. Today, Sal sings, “I Surrender All” (comp: Winfield S. Weeden;arr/orch: M. Riley). He is accompanied by Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra, and the Hour of Power Choir, directed by Dr. Irene Messoloras.
Sarah Grandpre and Arnold Geis perform “I Look to You” (comp: R. Kelly). They are accompanied by the Hour of Power Orchestra, directed by Dr. Marc Riley. Sarah is the director of Voices of Hope Children’s Choir and a member of the Hour of Power Choir. She has ten years of teaching and directing experience in choral music, musical theater and vocal technique. Arnold is a full-time singer, performing locally and internationally as a session singer and studio musician for live events, television and film. He recently performed mainstage roles and premiered works at The Glimmerglass Festival, New York City Opera and Los Angeles Opera.
Directed by Dr. Irene Messoloras, the Hour of Power Choir performs “God is Our Refuge” (comp: Jay Johnson; Allen Pote). They are accompanied by Zeljko Marasovich on the organ, and Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.
