Serenity of Mind and Heart

Pastor Bobby begins a sermon series entitled “Serenity in Your Storms.” This series will focus on the power, importance and promise of a serene mind and a peaceful heart. Whatever storm you’re going through in life; whatever challenge you’re facing, God can give you serenity, peace of mind, clarity of thought and purity of heart to endure anything. Lead guitarist of the mega group KoRn, Brian “Head” Welch returns to the Hour of Power! Brian is a living testimony of the redemptive power of Christ. A former drug addict, Brian made a drastic life change for the better when faced with the deteriorating relationship with his daughter. Today, Brian is an advocate for his faith, using his considerable platform as a rock star to share his journey. Kelly Cruz is an actress, singer and character talent artist, as well as a member of the Hour of Power Choir. Today Kelly performs,“Sing a New Song” (comp: Douglas E. Engquist; Riley Erin Engquist; Melody Joy Putnam; Robert Jr. Putnam; adapt: M. Riley). Kelly is accompanied by Michael Skidgel and the Hour of Power Choir, and guest conductor Willis Masonheimer and the Hour of Power Orchestra.

Laura Dickinson is a soloist from Southern California. Known for her extensive work on Disney’s animated hits Phineas and Ferb, Sofia the First, and Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Laura also serves as a vocal director and vocal contractor for Disney TV Animation. As a trained dancer and actress, Laura has over 60 regional musical theatre credits under her belt. Today, Laura performs, “I Never Lost My Praise” (comp: Kurt Carr; adapt: M. Riley). She is accompanied by Michael Skidgel and the Hour of Power Choir, and guest conductor Willis Masonheimer and the Hour of Power Orchestra.

Directed by Michael Skidgel, the Hour of Power Choir performs “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” (comp: Robert Robinson; arr: Mack Wilberg). The choir is accompanied by Zeljko Marasovich on the organ and guest conductor Willis Masonheimer and the Hour of Power Orchestra.
