The Cross of Loving Your Neighbor

Pastor Bobby continues the sermon series entitled “Take Up Your Cross.” In this series, Pastor Bobby will teach on the various crosses in life we have to bear, but that in Christianity we believe there is no cross without a resurrection. Today’s message: “The Cross of Loving Your Neighbor.”

Laura Dickinson is a soloist from Southern California. Known for her extensive work on Disney’s animated hits Phineas and Ferb, Sofia the First, and Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Laura also serves as a vocal director and vocal contractor for Disney TV Animation. As a trained dancer and actress, Laura has over 60 regional musical theatre credits under her belt. Today, Laura performs, “I Never Lost My Praise” (comp: Kurt Carr; adapt: M. Riley). She is accompanied by Dr. Irene Messoloras and the Hour of Power Choir, and Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.

Preston Parker is a reoccurring worship leader here at Hour of Power and has toured and performed with numerous choirs and organizations locally and internationally. He has also been featured performing on shows like The Oscars and The Ellen DeGeneres show. Sam Capella is a California native born in Los Angeles and raised in Fontana, California. He studied voice at Riverside City College and Cal State University, Long Beach. Samuel is currently a member of Pacific Chorale, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Tonality, and the Hour of Power Choir. Today, Preston and Sam perform “Psalm 34” (comp: Shane Barnard; adapt & orch: M. Riley). They are accompanied by the Hour of Power Choir, directed by Dr. Irene Messoloras, and the Hour of Power Orchestra, directed by Dr. Marc Riley.

Directed by Dr. Irene Messoloras, the Hour of Power Choir performs “Crown Him with Many Crowns” (comp: Craig Courtney). The choir is accompanied by Zeljko Marasovich on the organ, and Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.

  1. It was a wonderful service the singing was great . I am a physician and was concerned about the numbers in the choir
    during this Covid pandemic . Droplet infection is greatly increased while singing and I am afraid asymtomatic carriers can infect others . Please be cautious We do appreciate your loving effort to do this . We are in Connecticut and groups over 10 people are discouraged . I pray fro Gods guidance for you
