The Shepherd’s Grove Men’s Ensemble is a group of men from the Hour of Power Choir. Today they perform, “These are They” (comp: Bill and Gloria Gaither) and “Heavens Joy Awaits” (comp: V.B. Ellis). They are accompanied by Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra.
Directed by Michael Skidgel, the Hour of Power Choir, along with soloist Todd Strange, performs “Be Strong and of Good Courage” (comp: Frederick Swann). The choir is accompanied by guest organist Minh Nguyen.

I watched this on TV tonight and the singing and message were especially meaningful to me. I am now a widow having lost my husband 18 months ago after 64 years of marriage. My faith has wavered in the past few months because of family situations, and I have questioned whether God is punishing me for things that I have done or failed to do in my lifetime. Bobby’s message spoke peace to me and left me feeling confident that God does not punish us for things over a lifetime, that he is a God of love. The singing was especially uplifting to me tonight because one of the ones by the men’s ensemble was written by a man who lived near our town and I sang this song at singing conventions when I was 15 years old and involved with Southern Gospel music. Overall, my otherwise lonely Saturday night as an 82-year-old widow was made enjoyable by your telecast. Thank you for that.

I wrote to Bonnie today and told her I had to resign from parking lot duty, because it was just too far and stressful to drive every week . Then I cried for an hour.
