Jesus provided a powerful example of love when He washed the feet of His disciples. When He was crucified, He was stripped of everything and hung on the cross completely naked. During that time, He endured immense pain and suffering, along with shame as onlookers mocked and ridiculed Him. He accomplished this profound sacrifice for our sake, so that we could be at peace with God, have a place in heaven, and receive forgiveness for our sins. Given this incredible act of love, how much easier should it be for us to let go of our grievances and forgive others, just as He has forgiven us?

I encourage everyone to embrace a simple yet powerful idea: just love people. If you desire more love in your life, consider two ways to experience love. The first is when someone chooses to love you, whether it’s a mother, a father, a friend, or even a stranger. However, we can’t rely on that experience all the time. The second way to encounter love is by choosing to love someone else.

Friend, I invite you to truly embrace the idea that the capacity to feel love is always within your reach. You can cultivate this feeling simply by choosing to express love to others around you. It’s a transformative experience to recognize that by showing love, we not only uplift those we care about but also enrich our own lives in the process. As disciples of Jesus, one of the most remarkable gifts we receive is the understanding that our obedience to His teachings serves a greater purpose—it ultimately benefits us. When we follow His guidance by showing love to others, it leads to blessings that enhance our own lives, filling us with joy and peace.
