“By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care.”

– 1 Corinthians 3:10

We’ve all had dreams for our future, whether it’s regarding our businesses, careers, ministry, and of course our families. But the question is, how can you build these God-given dreams and aspirations? Faith opens our whole life, much like a hand opens to embrace a friend. Similarly, faith opens our hearts to the Kingdom of God to pursue our dreams, and to love and serve our neighbors. How can you have an idea that’s bigger than you if you don’t have faith?

Our dreams give us a reason to wake up in the morning and also something to live for. I know there is something you can picture in your mind that if you were able to accomplish it, it would have great meaning to you and others. We all need this mindset in our lives, but how can we experience this if we live in fear and are always trying to control what can’t be controlled? We cripple ourselves by worrying about the future. There is a saying: Don’t prepare the road for the child, prepare the child for the road. That’s a hard thing to do as a parent. But by faith, God is continually preparing us to build our God-given aspirations.

Friend, there is a gift in walking an unpaved road and trusting God by faith for the future of your children, family, career, business, or ministry. You must learn that God will always provide your daily bread, and that all you need will come to you in a timely manner. You don’t really believe this until you experience it, but when you do, your faith is abundantly rewarded!

Prayer

Father, help me to embrace faith in you for my family and all my ambitions.

Reflection

Have you experienced God’s daily bread? What dreams and goals do you have faith for?
