“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”
– Luke 16:10
![]() Do you like to fly? If you’re like a lot of people, you might not. I used to feel a fair share of apprehension when I would fly, even going so far as to put my hand on the little logo of the plane as I was walking through the door and saying a prayer. However, as the years have gone by and I have flown more frequently, I am not as uptight as I once was. I remember when I was on a flight some time ago, a lady sat down next to me and she looked very wealthy. She had a totally dignified demeanor and she was flying from Orange County to Texas to meet her new grand baby. She warned me from the start that she had some anxiety when it came to air travel, but I wasn’t expecting things to pan out like they did! While the plane was taking off, she grabbed my arm and screamed “Oh!” It happened again a while later and she grabbed me even harder. By the end of the flight, we had gotten to know each other pretty well! Naturally, most of us imagine that if this woman had flown more frequently, her fear and anxiety would have been diminished, because we generally associate fear with the unknown. Friend, the more often you take action according to your faith, the more your attitude will change. As you rely on God and trust Him to do what He says He will do, you are set free from worrying about the outcome! Practice trusting Him with something, even if it’s small, and watch Him work in and through your faith. Once you witness His faithfulness in that thing, it will be easier to entrust Him with something larger. You see, when you choose to surrender anything, whether large or small, your faith muscle will be stretched and you will be able to give God even more of your life. As you grow stronger one challenge at a time, you will ultimately become a fully-surrendered Jesus-follower! Trust Him with what you have right now and watch Him do exceedingly, abundantly more than you can even ask or imagine! |
