“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
– 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
![]() We should never be timid about our faith, the Kingdom of God, or His promises! Instead, we should be strong and bold because He has not given us a Spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. We don’t need to be afraid or shy about what He’s put inside of us; instead, we can embrace it, knowing that He’s provided the power — we only need to activate it. If I purchase a new home, assuming the power company has gone in and installed the correct equipment according to the proper codes, by all means, that building is set to receive power. Once I move in and pay my bill, I should have all the electricity that I need, right? In theory, the answer is yes, but in order to reap the benefits of that power, I must: turn on the switch. Imagine if you went into your newly-purchased home knowing that the switch was off, and you called the power company and asked them to send somebody over to turn the switch on. I guarantee you they wouldn’t do that; they would tell you that you were given everything you need, and the power is already going to your house — you just have to flip the switch! Friend, this is how it is in the Kingdom of God. You are wired to have authority; you just need to turn on the switch. Develop a new mindset and choose to believe that the current of Christ is flowing in and through you. As you activate His power by stepping out in faith, you will be amazed at what Jesus does! |
Prayer
Jesus, I pray for courage to “flip the switch” of my faith. I ask that you would come in power and do mighty things in and through me.
Reflection
Have you turned on the switch of your faith? If so, what has happened as a result?
