So it’s Easter. And Easter is great for all of us – if you’ve ever lost a loved one, if you’ve ever suffered, if you’ve ever received bad news. Easter is good news for because though there is death…there is also resurrection!

All of us suffer, all of us face sickness, and all of us have sometimes felt dread about death. It doesn’t matter how old you are or how young you are, you think about the grave. It’s like a pebble skipping across the water until it loses momentum and sinks down into a hundred thousand fathoms of nothingness, as Kierkegaard said.

But that’s not true. Your past sins can be forgiven. You can be renewed, you can be restored, and you can be set right with God. Then, life continues after death because our Lord Jesus paid the price. He loves us and wants to be with us forever.

Prayer: Dear Lord, forgive my sins, renew my soul, restore me to your purpose, and give me full faith in the eternity that you offer me because of your sacrifice on the cross. Amen.
