“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”
– 2 Corinthians 9:10
![]() Embrace the future God has for you today and allow it to pull you along and draw you in. I encourage you to not hang on to your past mistakes and failures, but learn from them and prepare yourself for a bright and awesome future. There is a good harvest coming your way! One American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker, Jim Rohn, once said that either you plant in the spring or you beg in the fall. Put simply, the soil doesn’t respond to your needs in the way that you want it to. If you go out and look at an empty plot of land in your farm or garden, and you say, “I need, I need, I need, I need,” nothing will happen for you. Here is what the soil will say to you — don’t give me your need; give me your seed! Friend, in the words of the late Christian leader Oral Roberts, if you have a need, you plant a seed. It takes time for the seeds of your words and actions to grow into what you hope they will become. It usually takes six months to see a difference. Understand there is some work involved, including water, sunshine, effort, care, and consistency. Also, accept that the process is definitely more like the slow and steady tortoise than the fast and hasty hare. There is no doubt that it is the little things you do daily that make all the difference. Seeds should be planted in the ground and cared for. Put those words of promise, those words of hope, those visions, ideas, and understandings in the ground, and your God-given future will be so bright and so amazing! |
Prayer
Father, show me how to plant and care for good words in my life.
