“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.‘ ”
– Mark 16:15
![]() If you’re a believer in Jesus Christ, you are called to an assignment here on Earth. God loves to call people who everyone else thinks are unworthy; outwardly they don’t appear qualified for the calling they have received. Also, many of us want to disqualify ourselves because we feel unworthy, uneducated, or disenfranchised. We feel called, but others have dismissed us because they don’t share God’s vision for our lives. I want you to know that God does not disqualify you and that your personal failures do not disqualify you! I want to encourage you today by repeating the words that Jesus gave in His last commandment to His disciples, to “GO!” In Mark Chapter 16, Jesus admonished his disciples, “Go, therefore, into all the world, and preach the Gospel.” What he meant is: Go make disciples. Go and set captives free. Go and heal the sick. Go and pray for the hurting. Go and feed the hungry, visit prisoners, and quench the thirst of those who are thirsty. Friend, go and do the things that God has called you to do. God doesn’t call us to do just one thing. He calls us to do many things, and as we do them, our ability to achieve more grows! Don’t let anyone disqualify you, but instead, get out there and share the Gospel. Living is the best education you can have. Living and making the most of life’s moments is the best way to maximize your calling. When you apply for a job, what’s the number one thing they’re looking for? Is it your education? Ninety percent of the time it’s not. It’s your experience. Go and enjoy life’s experiences. Go do your calling and trust that this will help you in life! |
Prayer
Father, help me to fulfill my calling and assignments here on Earth.
