God Has Good Things in Store For You

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”

– Psalm 27:13

Sometimes it’s easy to question if God has good things in store for us. We look at what is going on in the world today and can’t help but wonder what He’s up to. Maybe you have experienced harsh conditions or hard trials that make you question God. These circumstances could involve your family, school, or the workplace. I remember “hating” some of my coaches growing up and it was a difficult time for me. I do recall one awesome coach, but he would still make us do really hard drills! But, coaches are meant to stretch and strengthen you physically and mentally. Similar to a coach, God has the best in store for you, but sometimes it takes awhile to realize it. God is in your corner!

Sometimes when you’re in the middle of God challenging you to improve as a person, you can feel resentful or angry as you experience these types of lessons. I just want you to know you can trust God with your life. As Christians, we often get these feelings of doubt or uneasiness when we say God’s doing something good in our life or for our betterment. But remember, you are His child. He’d be a bad father if what He was doing in your life would harm you, correct?

Friend, I just want you to know that we can stand in this truth: God has the best in store for you. Rest assured that everything He’s doing in your life is for your benefit. God is a loving, perfect Father and he’s got you in His sights. The Bible and the gospel carry this message. The good news is that God is for us and not against us because Christ was crucified and raised from the dead. And you can just trust that. Yes, friends, you can trust that completely.

Prayer

Jesus, thank you that I can trust you with my life. Thank you that God has His sights on me. I stand in the truth that God has the best in store for me.

Reflection

When have you experienced God’s best for your life? How did it make you feel?
