When you love and serve others, you don’t need to keep a record of your good deeds—God is the one who keeps track. You don’t have to count or compare, even with your spouse or closest relationships; God sees it all. In Mark 10, Jesus says that when you welcome a child and show them love, you are loving Him. When you care for the poor or those in need, you are loving Him. Drawing from Jesus’ words in Matthew 25, it explains that helping those in need is serving God Himself. The passage encourages generosity and forgiveness, assuring that giving brings blessings and reflects God’s character. People will ask, ‘When did we do that?’ And He will reply, ‘When you did it for the least of these, you did it for me.’

You can be confident that God notices every act of love and service, and there are great rewards—not only in Heaven, but also in this life—for those who obey His command to love their neighbor. When you ask, you will receive. Forgive your neighbor. Love your neighbor. Generosity always finds a way back to you. Countless people can testify, from personal experience, that being a giver brings blessings in return.

My friend, I have found this to be true in my own life. The best time to give is often when you have the least. If you need more, give more. If you desire a greater harvest, plant more seed. Ultimately, God is the source of every good thing in our lives. When we trust Him and follow His call to love and give, we reflect His character to the world.
