So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

– Isaiah 41:10

Yesterday, I encouraged you to stop worrying and start taking action. We can define worry as the act of thinking about something that needs to be done without making a decision. It involves ruminating on a problem without actually acting on it. Worry and anxiety are forms of distress that arise from indecision. Perhaps you need to take action, but can’t decide what to do. You might find yourself facing two choices: road A and road B, or door number one and door number two. Which option will you choose?

I faced a tough decision about leading the Crystal Cathedral. My mentor, Juan Carlos Ortiz, prayed with me and offered advice. I was torn between going to the Cathedral, which seemed chaotic, or staying focused on my church plant. In his wonderful Argentine accent, he reassured me that if you go to the Cathedral, God will bless you because He loves you. But if you go and build your local church, God will bless you because He loves you. Bobby, God loves you like that!

Friend, God has placed something within you—a bias for action, a motivation to take steps, to leap forward, and to move ahead. Here’s the lesson: we must make a choice and take action. God will bless our efforts because He loves us. Remember, your life is yours, and while you have many opportunities to try, time is limited. We can be grateful for God’s daily presence and the assurance that He will bless you because He loves you. So, take action, my friend!

Prayer

Father, thank you for motivating me to take steps, leap forward, and move ahead in faith.
