“Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, ‘I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.’ ”

– Jeremiah 1:9,10

Today, I want to strengthen you with this thought: God will transform you into the person you need to be as you go. What I mean by as you go is this: As you take daily steps in this journey called life, and as you move forward in each season, God prepares you as you go. The journey itself is sometimes the catalyst that changes you. You’re never fully prepared for the journey God has for you. Never, because God’s ways and thoughts are much bigger than ours. He provides for you and transforms you one step at a time.

Our journey in the Kingdom is full of open doors. I heard someone say, “Doors in the Kingdom of God are not like our doors. You don’t open them yourself. They’re similar to the automatic doors at the grocery store. There’s no handle and no way to push it open.” As you walk towards the Kingdom’s proverbial doors, they open just before you arrive. When God’s people got to the Promised Land, they had to first step into a rushing Jordan River carrying the Arc of the Covenant. And then God made the waters stand up, and they crossed over. So, as you go, doors in the Kingdom of God will open.

Friend, as believers, the challenges we face often are the fuel that makes us who we are. The tests we are confronted with draw us in and keep our hearts close to the real power of God that eliminates burdens. It’s a blessing to become transformed as we go!

Prayer

Father, transform me daily as I take steps in my life’s journey. Thank you for opening doors for me.
