“Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Stay here; the LORD has sent me to Bethel.’ But Elisha said, ‘As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.’ So they went down to Bethel.” -2 Kings 2:2
Overall, the message we get from the world is that the most important thing in your life is to leave a legacy, be famous, or to change the world. That is not the most important thing in your life. The most important thing in your life is your relationships: your marriage, your parents, your siblings, your kids, and your friends. If you don’t believe it today, you’ll believe it someday. These are the things that matter most in your life. Those of us who are hungering and thirsting for something, in the end, will find it in a relationship with God, or in a relationship with our friends. Not only having friends but being deeply connected with them. You need to have amazing friendship and loyalty that through thick and thin you know them and they know you, and you will stick together. You can have this in your life.
PRAYER: Thank you, God, for revealing your goodness through my friends.
REFLECTION: Do you have deep connections with your friends?
