He Is Well Pleased With You

“He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.’”

– 2 Peter 1:17

Let me re-emphasize two points today! First, no matter what challenges you are facing,  know that Christ died for you and that God loves you right where you are. You are the beloved child of God. Secondly, He is well pleased with you. Believe that he is happy with you. And not just in what you do, but just as the Father was pleased with Jesus, He’s pleased with you and loves you. It’s a truth we must believe and accept. In response to this, we must build our whole lives around it. Can we do that today?

As we build our lives in response to God’s love, we can trust Him in every aspect! That means we can trust Him with the death of those we love. Our past and our future can be given to Him. It means we can turn to Him when we are ashamed, fearful, or grieving. No matter how old or young you are, you can have faith to believe that there will be a miracle. You can believe that a door will open, that the dead will rise, a song will be sung, and a new chapter will be written. The belief that you are God’s beloved is essential.

Friend, understand that you are not what you do, what you experience, or what you lose. Cast out the negativity your parents, teachers, children, or church have said about you, and realize that God loves you and He’s pleased with you. By living in this declaration, you can develop thick skin and become the person you were called to be!

Prayer

Thank you, Father, for loving me and being pleased with me. Continue to show me how to respond to this.

Reflection

How much do you trust God with your future? When faced with challenges, do you turn to him?
