He Will Bring You Through

“It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle my arms can bend a bow of bronze.”

– Psalm 18:32-34

Something good is always coming. Life is not happening to you, it’s happening for you. All of these things that you’re facing in your life — all the suffering that you’ve gone through — is going to ultimately lead you to your destiny from God. Even though all the things you’ve gone through have been so difficult, you will see — in the end — that it was for you and for the Lord and that it was for good. I believe it. I believe it because I’m a pastor and pastors watch people. A pastor is a shepherd. It’s somebody who walks alongside sheep and guards and protects them. Part of my job is to come alongside your story and to be, in a way, a dim reflection of Christ — the true shepherd — and say look, I know this seems dangerous, and I know this seems horrible, but God’s going to get you through this. I have seen brokenhearted people wrecked by loss, and I’ve watched how every time, in the end, God brings them through. He’s going to bring you through.

Prayer

Thank you, God, for your goodness. You will always bring me through to victory.

  1. I decided to update the information that used to belong to my mother, Mrs. Novella H. Hegeman who passed away on July 28, 2013…..Today was her birthday….She would have been 102 years old …. I always visit my mother sometimes more than twice a month since she is interred at her church in Rye, NY….I will always pay my respects to ALL my family now that I am the only one left alive except for my niece who lives with her family in Chattanooga, TN…..I miss them all and I will always love them….I have tears in my eyes as I write this. Happy 4th of July to all!
