My passion for making people feel welcome comes from the belief that genuine hospitality opens hearts to the love of Jesus. When people sense they are safe with us, they are able to let their guard down, making room for healing and forgiveness. This conviction reminds me of a sometimes overlooked detail in the book of Acts: the story of John Mark’s mother, Mary.

Peter, having just escaped from prison, instinctively went to Mary’s home, confident he would find his fellow believers gathered there. His familiarity with her house suggests it had become a vital meeting place for the church, especially after persecution forced them out of the temple and into more private settings. My friend, you don’t have to reach thousands to make a real difference for God. Even simple acts—like inviting someone in or sharing a meal—can show His love to those who are hurting or alone. Whatever God has given you can become an instrument of kindness and hope. When you make your spaces safe and welcoming, your hospitality opens hearts and helps God’s Kingdom grow. Let your life be a door through which the weary find rest, comfort, and the living example of Jesus.
