“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
– Philippians 4:6
|Many of us are in a hurry, we are worried, we are restless, and we are insatiable. Everything is hurried. Eating, driving, working and spending time with your loved ones. We are constantly in a hurry. Everything we do is fast and frantic. And if you hurry through life, you are just going to get to the end faster. Hurrying and worrying feel normal to some of us. When we don’t hurry or worry, we feel as though we are irresponsible. Or maybe we feel bored. And so we go back to hurrying and worrying immediately because that feels normal again. That feels safe. But that is not the kind of life that God has called us to. God has called us to surrender to His love. To actually have the audacity to believe that even in the midst of losses, anger, and setbacks, you can trust God. You trust God so much that it almost feels crazy. There is actually an invitation to experience the depth and richness of God’s love in such a way that you just stop worrying. So take that invitation. Slow down! Surrender to God’s love. In a while, you will feel liberated to not be worried and hurried anymore. Amen?|
Thank you Lord, for your easy rhythms. Help me to stop hurrying and worrying. Help me to trust you, and experience the depth and richness of your love.
What can you do personally, to stop hurrying and worrying?
If it is at all possible, could I be sent the “Creed to the Beloved” prayer that
Pastor Shuller recites every week on TBN Sat. nites?
If so, I thankyou in advance.
Bless all of you.
