When our life is tough, it’s easy to obsess and focus on all that went wrong, right? Like we’ve always had this addiction, or we’ve never been good in our relationships, or we’ve never been good at parenting, or whatever. And we go ahead and we ruin our future in our thought life. That’s not you! Change your thoughts and you’ll change your world, right? Tend to your thinking, and you’ll be tending to your future. Dutch Corrie ten Boom, famous for helping many Jewish people in World War II, said: “If you have the faith, God has the power.” God always has the power, whether or not we have the faith. But faith pleases God. So when you decide to choose to have thoughts of faith, rather than thoughts of despair, that honors God. Deciding to have thoughts of faith, despite how you feel emotionally, is really hard to do. But having faith opens up heaven with so many blessings and I just believe: Your future is good and bright. Don’t throw it away by dwelling on bitter thoughts, unforgiveness and despair. Instead, foster new thoughts that will form the right future. Amen? |
Prayer
Lord, thank you for having the power. Please give me the faith, despite how I feel emotionally. It’s hard, and you know it. But through your grace we know: the future is good and bright.
