INVITE THE BLESSING…

“If you say, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways…” -Psalm 91:9-11

Worship is a way of building into your life a rhythm of saying, “Thank you, God. Everything I have is from you. You are so good to me. I am so grateful.”

In the same way when your child says to you, “Dad, Mom, I am so thankful for you,” or when your husband or wife says, “Babe, I’m so grateful for you,” I believe when we thank God, it does the same thing to God’s heart. That expression of gratitude invites loyalty and generosity and ascribes love. It invites God’s blessing into our lives.

Thankful people are blessed people because they recognize where all good comes from. They recognize that it comes from a loving Father whose love endures forever. Can I get an amen?

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I am so thankful for you. I am grateful in so many ways. I recognize that all that is good comes from you. Amen.

REFLECTION: What was the last thing you thanked God for?
