“He told them, ‘This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.’ ”

– Luke 24:46-49

The most important thing I want you to know is that Easter happened, and it’s affecting your life. Heaven is available to you right now. Not just when you die, but now!  Jesus made it available through his death, resurrection, ascension, and the availability of the Holy Spirit to you.

Maybe you’re saying, “I’m not really religious,” or “I grew up Catholic but I haven’t been to mass in forever,” etc. Or you might think you’re a sinner and you messed up. Perhaps you’re thinking, “Bobby, you don’t know my past, you don’t know all the stuff I’m hiding, and you don’t know what I’ve done.” But it doesn’t matter who you are, because Jesus is a friend of sinners.  Jesus is a friend of broken and hurting people. Jesus is a friend of yours — believe this today. You are loved!

Prayer

Thank you, Lord, for Heaven and that Jesus made it available to us forever.
