“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ after you have suffered a little while will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” – 1 Peter 5:10

No one can stop you from making any goal you want to make. No one can stop you from having any dream you want to dream. No one can stop you from believing in God and being open to God’s voice and shutting your ears off to the voice of people that put you down, that discourage you, that don’t believe in you, that abuse you. You cannot listen to them and listen to a bigger voice that comes from God. No one can stop you from setting any goal you want to set and that is really a cool thing. Just remember, in the same way that there are people out there that are cynics, there are also people out there that are rooting for you. It could be your mom. It could be your dad. It could be your cat. There are people out there that believe in you and want you to succeed. I’m one of them. We talk about dreams? Do you know what my dream is? My dream is you. The whole reason I do what I’m doing is for you. I want to see you succeed, to thrive in God’s good universe, to find God’s calling in your life, to be saved, to live in God’s eternal life, to rebuke the enemy and darkness forever, and to live eternal life. That’s why I dream. I dream to see you succeed. And you know what? There are people that know you in heaven that are watching your life that you’ve never met. Your ancestors that are Christians. They trusted their lives to Jesus and are praying for you and believing you. It’s called the great cloud of witnesses. They’re watching you and they’re rooting that you’re gonna press through the difficult times in your life, so be encouraged. You can do it. Keep dreaming and keep pursuing your goals.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you for rooting for me. Thank you for sending other people to root for me as well. Help me to have the courage to dream and to pursue those dreams. Amen.

REFLECTION: What dreams do I put aside because of fear or negativity from others? Will I dare to pursue them despite the negatives and focus on the positives?
