Lean Into God’s Promises

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”

– 2 Corinthians 1:20

Life is too good to spend even one second being offended. Even when you feel torn down, remember that you have a lot of good things in your life. Your life is rich, so don’t waste time fretting about what somebody says about you. Instead, listen to what the Lord says about you.

God says that you are His beloved child. You are chosen. You are called. You are above and not beneath. You are blessed and no curse spoken over you will prosper. You have a hedge of protection around you and the angels are working out Jesus’ power on your behalf. These are just a few of the promises of God. Lean into them and put faith in the voice of the Beloved. Live from a place of confidence in His Word and watch the amazing things He will accomplish in your life.

As you pursue what Jesus is calling you to do rather than trying to manage the way others see you, you will have peace in your heart and your life will overflow with His goodness!

God, thank you for giving me so many amazing promises to hold onto when the world tries to tear me down. Today, I choose not to be offended but to trust in your goodness to sustain me.

Are you holding onto any offense in your life today? Which of God’s promises can you lean into as you let go of that hurt?
