“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.“
– John 15:12
![]() You may need to ask yourself if you love people the way Jesus loves you. In John Chapter 15, Jesus says that if you obey His commands and abide in Him, the Father will grant you anything you ask. “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” Did you catch that? He told us not only to love one another, but to love each other as He has loved us! You say, “I love people” but do you love your boss, colleagues, or spouse the way Jesus loves you? Are you loving your enemies the way Jesus loves you? Are you as loving toward your political competitors and rivals as Jesus is towards you? Also keep in mind that Jesus loves people who are annoying, the same way He loves you. Friend, we open up our world to abundance when we learn to love people well. It’s a simple truth! People aren’t loved by trying harder. Love happens when you have a brand-new heart, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Training and discipleship will lead you there. You can study and cultivate the skill of loving people. You will not only bless others through your love, but also glorify God! |
Prayer
Father, create a new heart in me and teach me how to love people the way you love me.
Reflection
Do you love your boss, colleagues, or spouse the way Jesus loves you? How can you improve these relationships?
