Let’s be Filled with the Holy Spirit

“Jesus answered, ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.’ ”

– John 4:13,14

In a world filled with so many distractions, let’s be filled with the Holy Spirit instead. Let’s stop wondering what’s the next big thing that will make us feel happy or satisfy our personal desires. When my life isn’t going so well, there’s only one thing that’s certain to bring me joy and a smile on my face, and that is my relationship with God. Being filled with the spirit of God means he is living in my bones! He’s breathing in my lungs; working in my hands and feet; and seeing through my eyes. And maybe most importantly, speaking through my mouth.

If you are hungry for this relationship or a deeper connection, let’s run to the Lord! If you’re thirsty, there is only one place to find a drink from which you will never thirst again. Just like the Samaritan woman at the well asked Jesus, maybe you are asking where you can get this drink. No, it’s not at the bar down the street, it’s from the river of living water. The Holy Spirit is available to be poured out to you right now. You can receive the living water if you believe and drink freely!

Friend, you are God’s temple. You were made as one who holds the very life of God. If the spirit has left your house, you’re no longer a temple, you’re a tomb. So may we open up our lives and our bodies to the Holy Spirit of God so that people can see and feel Jesus Christ wherever we are. If you’re missing something — you will find that joy and passion come from the Holy Spirit.

Prayer

Father, I am thirsty for you. Pour out the Holy Spirit on my life as never before.
