“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.“
– Psalms 37:4-6
![]() Despite knowing in our hearts we are called to be more, some will pay money to feel good about their average lives. Many of us are being sold to by politicians and the marketplace, and there is a blame game agenda out there. Don’t waste time blaming others. We want to blame our toxic relatives, but resist that urge. Don’t blame “the system” or your country. Don’t blame the seed or the soil. Don’t blame your spouse, and don’t blame your parents. Take a look in the mirror: There’s only one thing you can control and that is yourself. You say you can’t control yourself, but there are things you can do, my friend. It’s time to keep encouraging yourself not to settle for an average today but to pursue an amazing tomorrow! If you don’t embrace opportunities to partner and live life with God, you will pay a price. Each day, you have the privilege and honor of embracing God’s goodness, love, and wisdom. Be open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance in your life. You can achieve so much today if you can grasp the dream God has for you. Instead of “checking out,” embrace life by “checking in.” |
Prayer
Father, show me how to embrace your opportunities to partner and live life with you.
Reflection
Do you settle for average in any areas of your life? What can you do to change this?
