“The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”

– Proverbs 18:10

As Christians, we do not pray for an easy life for ourselves. We don’t ask God to make our lives simpler by saying, “Give me a little bit of luck.” It is better to say, “God, make me stronger, make me worthy, and make me a bigger and better human being.” You can be bigger than whatever it is you’re facing, but you can only do that when you have an ally, and His name is Jesus Christ. Christian faith does not imply that you will not face difficulties in your life. You’ll be given all the help you need to get through your struggles, no matter how difficult they may be. This does not translate into a carefree life, but it means that you will have the strength to conquer life’s challenges. That’s the assurance!

It is my greatest desire in life for anyone who does not know the Lord to make a decision to know Him. You are now able to have access to God even as you read these words. It is God’s desire for you to experience His love, peace, and joy. If you’re at peace with God, you’re on the path to living your best life! When you rely on Christ and make a conscious decision to depend on Him, you will see the world through His lens.

Friend, I invite you to make a decision to follow Christ, and if you already know Him, it’s good to rededicate your life to Him as we embark upon this new year. Make the choice to have His heart in your heart, and His wind in your lungs. Nothing is better than having His ideas in your head and allowing them to guide and transform your life into flourishing, abundance, and so much more!

Father, thank you for your peace as I make a decision today to follow Christ.

In the midst of your struggles, have you asked God for strength?

  2. I appreciate the invitation to re-dedicate my life to Jesus at the start of this new year. I have often wondered about that kind of thing, and whether it makes sense to re-dedicate that which has already been dedicated. I felt the need to do so, and periodically throughout any year, I feel the same. Now I know it makes sense to do that. And yes, I pray to be a better person.
