In life, there is one thing that always rings true: We all want to make a difference and impact on the world! Don’t sleepwalk through your life, my friend; don’t let it pass you by. Sleepwalking is when someone walks or performs other motor activities while asleep. When I was a kid, I sleepwalked at my friend Abe’s house. I ran out into the living room after we’d already gone to sleep, and I yelled, “The crows are coming!” and ran back to bed. The next morning, his parents asked me what I meant by “The crows are coming!” My answer was, “I have no idea!”
Many of us are sleepwalking through life. We’re just going through the motions. As parents, as spiritual beings, as friends, and as workers, we’re going through the motions. Despite our efforts, we aren’t making any progress. I heard a podcast with a general who described that within a group of soldiers, there are commitments at every level. He emphasized connecting with those soldiers who make a real impact. It’s imperative to get those impactful soldiers to their action points.
Friend, throughout life there are people like those soldiers who make a great impact and those who do almost nothing. The person you are supposed to be is not one who hits the snooze button on life. It’s time for a change or upgrade in your life, and you get to be a part of it. You can make an impact on the outside when you get a vision of who you can be on the inside! When you change on the inside, the impact will extend and bless those in your sphere of influence!
