I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord for whose sake I have lost all things. – Philippians 3:8

We cannot let our good works be the thing that make us Christian. We have to understand that only being baptized and saturated in God’s grace by faith is the only thing that can save us. When Jesus died on the cross he said it is finished and he meant it. Everything you’ve done in your life, all of the stuff that you regret, all the skeletons in your closet, it doesn’t matter. If you have faith in the cross it’s all forgiven. His grace is sufficient and that’s good news.

PRAYER: Dear God, thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross and save us. Help me to be a Christian of faith and not works. Amen.

REFLECTION: How can I be a Christian of faith and grace today?
