“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters…” -Colossians 3:23

There are so many times in life that can be stressful. Like when you have to step into that job interview. When you start a new career. When you get in front of a group of people to talk. When you break up with somebody that you care about but know isn’t right for you. When you have to make a major change in your life. When you have to take a risk. When you lose someone dear to you.

Of course, I could go on and on. But, did you know that one of the biggest myths today is that stress is always bad for you? Actually, it’s not.

We experience stress in life in many different ways, and each affects us differently depending on how long we carry the stress, and where we put that stress. Put the stress into God’s hands. Let the stress motivate you to make good changes, and let God lead you through the parts that only he can carry.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, you gave me life and you’ll help to carry me through. Amen.

REFLECTION: How has stress improved your life? When has God had to carry you through?
