We, at Shepherd’s Grove and Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller, are thrilled to announce that we have selected our new Hour of Power Choir Conductor, Dr. Irene Messoloras!
Dedicated to inspiring musicians and audiences through a passion for musical excellence, Dr. Messoloras maintains an active career as a highly-sought-after music educator, conductor, clinician, and adjudicator. She has conducted many meaningful and inspirational performances around the world, where her ensembles have received superior ratings and awards in multiple festivals and competitions.
In addition to her responsibilities at Shepherd’s Grove and Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller, Dr. Messoloras also serves as the Director of Choral Activities at the University of La Verne, where she conducts premier vocal ensembles and teaches courses in conducting. She is also the Artistic Director of Mountainside Master Chorale, a semi-professional community chorale of 80 voices, based in the Inland Empire. Most recently, Irene served as Director of Music Ministry at Covina United Methodist Church in Covina, CA, where she helped build a creative choral program while developing a weekly music ministry to college-aged students.
As a devout Christian, Irene has a heart for finding ways to connect audiences with the scriptural bond between music and God’s faithfulness. She is committed to serving Him through the delivery of inspiring and meaningful musical performances each Sunday and is elated to now continue that commitment here at Shepherd’s Grove and Hour of Power.
Irene Messoloras received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree and Masters in Choral Conducting from the University of California, Los Angeles Herb Alpert School of Music under the tutelage and mentorship of Donald Neuen.
Irene lives in Claremont with her husband Adam.
Dr. Irene Messoloras will begin conducting the Hour of Power Choir at Shepherd’s Grove on July 23. Welcome to the family, Irene. God loves you, and so do we!
