“As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

– Psalm 103:12

I’m pretty certain that as you read this devotion today, you have something in your life that you see as unlovable. While you may like many things about yourself, there’s probably at least that one thing that you wish was different; a struggle you despise so much that you tend to hide it. Right now, instead of pushing that thing into the recesses of your mind, I am asking you to bring it to the light and momentarily meditate on it. Hold it up to Jesus and allow Him to whisper to you that you are forgiven.

You see, friend, when you reject a part of yourself as unlovable, you are rejecting what God says about you. He accepts you completely and He has removed your sins from you as far as the east is from the west. There is nothing that has happened or ever will happen that can separate you from His extravagant love and grace. Everybody has baggage and everyone has made mistakes, but Jesus will never reject you because of them. Remember that and allow it to sink into your heart — you are fully free!

Prayer

God, thank you for removing my sins from me as far as the east is from the west; I receive your grace in every part of my life.
