It’s almost that time of the year: Christmas! On Friday, December 1st at 7:30 pm, we will be hosting a faith-stirring night of musical worship, called “O Holy Night” at Shepherd’s Grove! The concert will include performances by our world-renowned Hour of Power Choir and Orchestra, the Voices of Hope Children’s Choir, and a selection of talented guest soloists.
The Hour of Power Choir is conducted by Dr. Irene Messoloras, a renowned vocal music conductor and passionate educator from New York. After receiving her doctorate in choral conducting, she has conducted multiple prestigious and internationally acclaimed ensembles.
We are blessed to have Marc Riley as the director of our Hour of Power Orchestra. This award winning musical artist excels as a conductor, orchestrator and arranger, and earned his Ph.D. in Musical Composition.
Sarah Grandpre is an accomplished vocalist and conductor of the Voices of Hope Children’s Choir. Sarah runs a successful private studio in Orange County and is continually involved in a growing list of professional singing engagements.
Our talented guest soloists include Kelly McGrath, Caity Peters, Todd Strange, Maiya Sykes and Courtney Taylor. Kelly McGrath is a country-americana singer from Tennessee, now established in LA as an independent artist. Her music is featured in several films and music critics call her “one of the best vocalists working today.” Caity Peters is a vocalist out of Long Beach, CA. She has traveled to several nations, teaching music to children around the world. Caity recently performed on “The Voice,” and had all four judges competing fiercely to get her on their team.
Todd Strange is a brilliant tenor, and is a member of the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Los Angeles Opera. He has been featured in multiple shows and movies around the country. Maiya Sykes is a soloist from Southern California. She has spent several years touring as a backup vocalist for Macy Gray, and in 2014 she was a contestant on “The Voice.” Courtney Taylor is a soprano for the Los Angeles Master Chorale and a frequent guest singer with the Hour of Power.
