“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
– 1 Corinthians 15:55-57
![]() A lot of the time … or most of the time, when we pray for miracles, we don’t get them in the way we want or they don’t happen right away. That can be frustrating — even maddening — because we wonder, Well, why does God do things sometimes, and other times He doesn’t? And, honestly, I don’t know the answer to that. But what I do know is that God performs miracles. On Easter, God opened heaven. Because of that, we can now abandon our fear and dread of death that causes so much of our pathology, sin, and the way we harm one another. We don’t have to worry about dying; Jesus conquered death for us. Because when we die, it’s going to be more like waking up than falling asleep. |
Prayer
Thank you, Jesus, for conquering death for us. Thank you for opening up heaven to us, forever.
Reflection
Have you experienced heaven, on earth today, lately?
