Today, I ask: Why does the Lord tarry? Why does He wait? Just as a farmer patiently waits for the precious fruit of the earth, so does the Lord wait for a harvest that spans the entire world—not just Cathedral Church or Hour of Power, not only California, not even just America, but the earth itself. It’s truly remarkable what God is accomplishing globally. Recently, at the Global Church Network, I witnessed pastors from Fiji, Kenya, Ghana, and many African nations share stories of great revivals and powerful moves of God. In Iran, a tremendous Christian revival is currently unfolding. Thank you, Lord! Let us pray for these believers and for churches everywhere, that they would be filled with people passionate for God and His work. This is the heart of God.

At the age of 75, Abraham was promised by the Lord that he would be the father of many nations. He waited 25 years—until he was 100—for this promise to be fulfilled. During this time, Abraham faced many challenges. Before Sarah became pregnant, Abraham prayed for King Abimelech’s household, whose women could not conceive. After he prayed for others, Sarah conceived. The lesson: pray and give even when you’re in need.

My friend, you say I am in need. Pray out of your need. Pray for other people. Pray for other saints. Pray for your enemies. Pray for the wicked people in your life. Pray for them. Give out of your need. Serve out of your need. Help out of your need. Bless out of your need. Just watch as God opens up so much blessing in your life.
