 In the Kingdom of God, unstoppable dreamers are called to achieve all that God has prepared for us. They rise above resistance, a topic that has been explored throughout the ages. One author who sheds light on this idea is Steven Pressfield. He describes how, when you need to sit down and start writing, begin a project, have a difficult conversation, or reach out to someone, there often comes a cloud—a spiritual barrier—that tries to stop you. It whispers, “Do it later,” “Go do something else,” or “Wait until tomorrow.” This can really hinder your progress.
Resistance can manifest in various ways, such as procrastination, perfectionism, fear, or doubt. I encourage you to commit to the task at hand and overcome this resistance. I recently discovered that the top 1% of podcasts in the world share a common trait: they have all posted 29 times or more. Did you catch that formula? I am part of the top 1% of podcasts in the world today because I’ve posted 29 times. That’s all it takes to be among the best—simply do the work. Friend, one significant reason we yield to resistance is that the effort required to achieve our dreams affects us on a deeper level. Building a vision transforms you, and this work towards your goals shapes who you are. This process can be uncomfortable, but it’s essential. As you engage in the necessary tasks, you are being improved, strengthened, and developed into who you need to become. Don’t succumb to the resistance that urges you to wait until tomorrow. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you continually persevere toward victory! |
