“As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.”
-Ecclesiastes 11:5-6

I encourage you not to live your life in in constant fear. Even if you take a risk and you fail, you still win because you overcame your anxiety.

Winners in life have failed numerous times before they ever won. Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper job because the editor felt he lacked imagination. Colonel Sanders was fired from multiple jobs before founding his fried chicken empire. Author J.K. Rowling was a single mom collecting welfare when she wrote her first Harry Potter novel.

And that is true in the kingdom of God. When you listen to the Holy Spirit, you will be surprised with the many victories you’ll have. Why? Because even when you don’t make the best decisions, your faith pleases God. I’ve seen so many men and women of childlike faith doing bold things for God, and even if their efforts fail, God still blesses them.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I will step forward in faith to do bold works in this world knowing you will bless me whether I fail or win. Amen.

Reflection: What bold step would like to take today?
