Say Yes With All Your Heart

“And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.”

– 1 Chronicles 28:9

Recently, I’ve talked about God-sized possibilities and big dreams. The key to achieving your dreams is committing all that you are and all that you have to them. Dreams will ask of us: Can you outlast others who have dreamed similar dreams? Are you capable of out-training them? Are you able to out-work them? Is it possible to out-trust them? There is no doubt in my mind that you are willing and capable of doing so!

In high school, I followed German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. During my missionary days, I traveled around the world with a group who preached the Gospel and we also did humanitarian work, including donating glasses, bringing insulin, and providing medical aid to the needy. In Bonnke’s lifetime, it is estimated that over 79 million Africans converted to Christianity. This is a big life, based on a big dream. While praying, he thanked the Lord for calling him to this big life, to this huge calling. He felt the Holy Spirit telling him: I did not call you; in fact, I called four other people before you, but they would not go the distance. They wouldn’t say yes with all their hearts or make a commitment. You’re the first one to really say yes.

Friend, will you say yes to God when He knocks on your door? Are you ready to say yes to Him when you get that dream or vision? You don’t have to reach for comfort. You are worthy of the dream and goal God has placed on your life!

Father, with all my heart, I say yes to the call of your dreams and visions.

Are you following God’s promptings concerning dreams or visions?
