How long have you been with the ministry?
Just over a year — and I have loved it!
What do you do for Hour of Power?
I do Hour of Power Communications. If we need writing, social media, photography, or blogging, I’m the gal!
How did God bring you to the ministry?
About a year and a half ago, I was working at Disneyland I needed a roommate fast. I ended up finding one on a kinda sketchy website, but she was awesome and a Christian. Soon after, she referred me to my current job. It definitely felt like a “God thing” for me to be placed in a house with her, and later at Shepherd’s Grove! I never thought I would be working in ministry, but now looking back, I can see it was all part of His beautiful plan!
What is your favorite part about working here?
I feel so lucky to work here because not only have I grown in my career, I’ve grown tremendously as a person. And that’s due to the emphasis that Shepherd’s Grove/Hour of Power places on spiritual growth. Of course, the people I get to work with have truly become my family and I am SO blessed by them!
Do you have an impactful story to share from your job?
I had the opportunity to go to Kenya with my coworker, Amber, and it was incredible. We went to serve with some pastors doing awesome work in their village of Migori. It was impactful while I was there, but I feel like it wasn’t until I got back that I truly felt “changed” (like people often do when going on mission trips). That trip showed me how big, how powerful, and how good God is, and how I wanted to step out boldly in faith and serve Him.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I really like being active outside, taking photos of people, and going to Disneyland … often.
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
The Office (again).
If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Upon research, I have decided that I would be Magenta.
