“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
– Genesis 12:2,3
![]() Did you know that Abraham was 70 years old at the time he first appeared in the Bible? And yet God chose to give a promise to this 70-year-old man that he would be the father of a great nation, and that everyone on earth would be blessed through him. Even more unbelievable is the fact that it took another 30 years for the Lord to fulfill the promise. That means Abraham was 100 years old by the time he finally had Isaac! I honestly can’t imagine what it was like for him with each passing birthday as he wondered if this would be the year he would finally see the covenant fulfilled. Nevertheless, he kept believing and the Bible says that his faith was credited to him as righteousness. God is not hurried or worried, my friend, and all of His promises to you are “yes and amen,” even when you don’t see evidence of their fulfillment. Nothing is beyond His ability to repair, restore, or bring to pass, because He who promised is faithful! He is working in the in-between to strengthen, equip, and prepare you for your Promised Land so that when it dawns, you can embrace it with confidence, humility, and strength of character. Never give up on your loving Lord because He will never give up on you; He has gone before you to straighten the path, level the mountains, and make a way through the wilderness. Hold fast because your best is yet to come! |
Prayer
Thank you, Jesus, for making me a steward of your promise, no matter how long it takes to see its fulfillment.
Reflection
What promise are you waiting to see fulfilled in your life?

That is an excellent teaching. Thanks and blessings. May your intimacy with Holy Spirit
continue to increase moment to moment
I agree! This was wonderful and really blessed me when I needed it! Thank YOU LORD AND THANK you Pastor Schuller!
Send us a preacher! Royal Palm Presbyterian (Independent -but not anti denominational) in Lake Worth, Florida is looking and waiting for our next pastor. Surrounded by contemporary “Jesus Shows” we are traditional (but not boring). I’m going to be 86 and my wife and I are ready to hand over this congregation to a solid, reformed, happy, possibility-thinking couple and continue to grow it.
If you know of anyone, they can see us live stream and go from there to make contact.
I still yearn to fly out to California to visit the graves of my two absolutely dropdead gorgeous Dreamyeyed Angels. The Porcaro brothers
Jeff and Mike who are entombed at Forest Lawn Cemetary in Hollywood Hills. And also to travel to other islands in the Caribbean that have not been visited as of yet.And to see the other Disney Parks such as the ones in Paris.Tokyo.and Hong Kong. And of course Disneyland in Anaheim.and not forgetting Disney World in Orlando Florida. But with God willing. These promises will be fulfilled before I leave this world.
I hope that many more people will be around to see their promises fulfilled.Much love peace and good tidings to all at Shepherd’s Grove at Irvine Presbyterian Church. To Pastor Bobby Schuller and his beautiful family messages of happiness and good health. To the Hour of Power Choir and Orchestra and their directors.Messages of appreciation and thank you’s for the glorious and uplifting music and singing.
To Sarah Grandpre and the Voices of Hope Children’s Choir.God’s abundant blessings upon them.As always I remain a faithful viewer and
Happy and Wholesome Student in Jesus Christ.Alleliua Amen. And May God bless the United States of America
Thank You LORD first and foremost for this wonderful gift of life! Thank You also for the ministry of Hour of Power that has helped me and my family in so many ways. Whenever adversity comes, The Lord is there and the Schuller’s words have helped with guidance and wisdom! My grandmother listened to your grandfather and “GOD loves you and so do I” became a staple for us! Thank you for being faithful stewards in the ministry of JESUS!
We love your readings every morning. We do belong and support the Presbyterian Church in Fergus Ontario.
We also let our Friends and unbelievers know about your messages.
Thanks and God’s Blessings.
I find your genuine, vulnerable and casual albeit passionate and professional style to be informative and uplifting as well as engaging with sound doctrine
