Strike With Everything You’ve Got

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”

– Genesis 2:15

With your dream, your prayer, your life, and everything God has called you to do, strike while the iron is hot! Strike and strike as long as it takes to succeed! Don’t let opportunity pass you by. In the year 1519, Hernán Cortés arrived in the “New World” with 600 men and he was clearly outnumbered by the natives. Upon arrival, he made history by burning his ships. This sent a clear message to his men: There is no turning back! He knew they had nowhere to go and no choice but to fight for their lives. They would win and claim the land. Now, burning ships isn’t always wise, but if you have an I’m going to win, ‘burn the ships’ attitude towards whatever your goal or dream is, I promise it will help you.

When God created the garden, He wasn’t going to maintain it himself. Adam and Eve were created for the purpose of tending to the garden. All of us were created to do something great with the Lord. We all have it inside us. In Heaven, there will be work to be done. You won’t be breathing underwater and going to parties all the time. There will be good work that you will enjoy. Heaven is going to have buildings, art, and culture because God made us this way.

Friend, you were created by God to dream, work, and accomplish great things. It’s important to learn that this is your treasure: to rise up, to walk, and to build. It is to strike at life with all you have and do everything you can. Get ready, get in, and get going. With the help of the Holy Spirit, you’ll be glad you did!

Prayer

Father, I ask you to help me rise up, walk, and build your Kingdom.
