Success is Within Your Reach

“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live…”.”

Deuteronomy 30:19

Yesterday, I described how Caleb and Joshua believed that God could accomplish anything. In the Book of Deuteronomy, Moses prepared them for life in the Promised Land. In a famous speech, he encouraged them to choose life! According to Moses, success was within their reach. The words they needed to guide their success were already in their hearts; they just had to obey them. Also, more prosperity and blessings would come as they continued to love the Lord!

It is often asked, “What is the “big thing” that is before you?” But the real question is, “What is the big thing that is within you?” More than ever, I am convinced that God does not care about big churches, He cares about big Christians. God’s concern is to fill hearts with the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish all that is possible. It is possible for one disciple of Jesus to accomplish a million times more than a mega-church full of empty Christians. Mega-churches do serve a great purpose, but it’s about becoming a bigger person by choosing life, and I believe you’re capable of doing that.

Friend, God encourages you to choose life and possess the land! It’s time to let go of what should be and shouldn’t be. Stop saying to yourself, “I should,” and start saying to yourself,” I will.” Try telling yourself, “I will live.” In life, there will be ups and downs. There will be good days and bad days, but nothing will change for you unless you change, and you can change today. You are capable of becoming all that you are born to be!

Prayer

Father, thank you for encouraging me to choose life!
