A Great Vision

“Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.” – Luke 2:25,26 One of my favorite stories of hope during the Advent season and Christmas is the story of Simeon. The Holy Spirit told Simeon in Luke 2 that he would see the Messiah in his lifetime. We don’t always know all the details, but as I think of Simeon’s story, I imagine him as a young man who received this big vision! When you see a big vision in your life, you will see it twice. The first time, it is only in your imagination. But the second time you see it is when it is fulfilled
