He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.” – 2 Chronicles 26:16 King Uzziah ruled with justice and upheld the law of Jehovah, especially in the early years of his reign. As he was guided by the prophet Zechariah, his leadership was prosperous and right in the sight of the Lord. However, as time went on, his pride got the best of him, and one day, he decided to enter the temple and burn incense at the altar. The problem was that doing so was disrespectful to the priests because only they were permitted to make such offerings.
